Pearl Harbor; A Toast

A lot has been said and written about the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  This is the anniversary of that day.  I don’t have much to say about it.  My Dad was in the Navy at the time, I grew up hearing the 1st person narratives of his experiences.  I just want to say thanks to all of the men and women who were serving our country and our allies.  My Dad is gone now, as are so many of the military folks who fought in that war.  We should keep their memories alive, for many reasons.

Dad loved a good martini.  If you’re so inclined, when your cocktail hour rolls around, mix yourself a dry one and make a toast in memory of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the real people who lived through it and its aftermath.

  1. I will! Although I prefer a dirty martini myself.
